Hair extensions – all the kinds and characteristics
Hair thinning, receding hairlines and substantial hair loss are all common problems, and either us, our family members or friends will face them at some point in their life. There are many reasons behind the emergence of these hair-related issues, some are strictly medical and have a direct connection with hormones, genetics or various diseases. On the other hand, others are related to accidents, chemo or failed hair care procedures. So as a whole we can separate the causes of hair-relate problems into two different categories; namely internal and external factors. Still, it doesn’t often matter what actually causes your hair problems, what truly concerns people is whether they can be fixed and treated. And as a matter of a fact there are easy and effective solutions to those problems. After all, solving your personal insecurities and improve your looks will reduce the negative emotional impact you could suffer. To begin with, there are many possible ways of treating hair problems. Some of these methods rely on the use of medications and surgical procedures (think of drugs dedicated for hair loss treatment). Other treatment methods are based on psychological therapies, that primarily focus on tackling stress reduction etc. There are also external ‘treatment’ methods, such as hair enhancement solutions.
Interestingly, hair extensions as a hair enhancement solution are one of the most popular hair loss treatments out there. Extensions can be easily and successfully used for various kinds of hair problems. But above all, they pretty much always guarantee satisfying results. Hair extensions can be made from natural, human hair or synthetic hair. Likewise, there are various attachment methods for extensions as well. For example, some hair extensions can be clipped in, others are taped and glued, yet some are sewn on. Its important to clarify that attachment methods are constantly developing and improving for the better. In the end, creating customer satisfaction is the key to achieving positive results. Hair extension manufacturers and researchers thus aim to provide as much safety and comfort as possible. Of course, each type and method have their own benefits, and generally it’s simply a matter of personal choice and preference what appliance method someone goes for.
Hair extensions – synthetic hair
Although it’s a proven fact that human hair extensions are superior, this doesn’t mean that we should completely diminish and forget about synthetic hair as a whole. Synthetic hair extensions are made from fake hair strands, this should be pretty clear and straightforward. But nonetheless, synthetic hair of very good quality is modified in such a way that it pretty much resembles natural human hair. Due to the constant technological development, synthetic hair is becoming more and more like human hair. Its texture and overall qualities are becoming almost indistinguishable from natural hair. But beyond that, they are also a much cheaper alternative! Therefore, this is certainly a positive. Still, synthetic hair has its limitations. First of all, they can be fragile and you might need to be careful when treating it with all sorts of hair procedures e.g. blow drying or straightening – don’t forget that you can easily damage synthetic hair, and there’s no way of repairing those. As a whole, these extensions are less durable than human hair. So we can sum up that there are some pros and some cons to this option.
